img 1099 150x1501 Why I did attend the Hoover Alabama Tea PartyI don’t know what to call myself.  I get behind and support the ideas I believe in.  I’m not really a Republican and I’m not really a Democrat.  I really don’t know what I’m called… How about an American.  Yep that is what I’ll call myself.

I completely 100% agree with you, except the getting involved part.

We The Federal Government!

I do believe we can go back to a true United States of America, and live by the constitutional rights given to each and every citizen.  The country has and can live up to ideals set forth in the Declaration of Independence or the img 1094 150x1501 Why I did attend the Hoover Alabama Tea PartyConstitution.

While I was there, I did not hear anyone chanting Republican, Republican or Democrat, Democrat.  I heard the chants of USA.   I saw many people explaining their problems with the government.  Guess what, they where not all about Taxation.  I too thought they would be.  Several groups where there taking up signatures for their causes.  I also heard several people explain ways they thought it should or could be fixed.  After all, it has been said

That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

Yes nothing that is happening now is new, but some people see and or take it longer then others.  Its like the pain threshold, I prefer to call this one the bullsh*t threshold.  Only when that threshold is reached do people start wanting to do something about it.

In this last election we where faced with two democrats,  I do not believe we img 1090 150x1501 Why I did attend the Hoover Alabama Tea Partyhave a two party system anymore.  We now are under a one party system.  The media is controlled by such a party that is why we hear nothing of the Fair Tax, something I believe in.  It is also the reason fair and equal time was not given to Dr. Paul during the last election.  The only time he was actually on a network any network even the Republican network Fox was when they where trying to make fun of him.  Even the “Great AmericanSean Hannity wouldn’t give him the time of day.

I used to call myself a Republican, but I didn’t feel let down on this last election.  I’m not even mad about the election itself.  I feel I would have lost either way.  I am also glad for the current economic problems.  I believe in the worst of times, America is at its greatest.  I think America has become a bunch of puds!  I have said and told people watch the unemployment rate rise and you will start to see real customer services.

So while I agree with you, I do NOT believe sitting at home is the answer.  Not doing anything, will never get anything done.  It will take real change, nothing that can come from the elephant or the donkey war.  That change has to start somewhere, the seed has to be planted with someone.  If nothing more then someone reading the fair tax information, and thinking about it.  Then it was worth it.
