I was thinking one day, how final “Goodbye” is. My dad quit using Goodbye along time ago and now only says Later! Goodbye is like the person is gonna walk out of sight and just fall over dead. It is so such a tragic word. So self, I said “how can we say goodbye, have fun with it and not make it so final”. Then I came up with the idea.. Unless!
So here is how it works, excited yet… please note the follow is NOT a real conversation, I would never take the computer. I would just smack it really hard and then restart it.
Customer: Hey Zero can you work on this computer for me?
Zero: Sure I can, what is it doing?
Customer: Well when I turn it on it makes a humming noise.
Zero: Well I need to take it for the day, will bring it back tomorrow
Customer: Ok, Goodbye
as I walk away….
Zero: Unless
You can use it at any time it does not matter. When your ready to leave. How about when asked to do something. Use it when you are passing by someone and they say Hi. In the elevator as you get off. You can even use it on Twitter. I did a tweet the other day with an @reply to someone and just said Unless. With that my blog traffic actually made a nice jump, all traffic from my twitter profile.
So give it a try today at work, try it when you are at lunch. Order your food and when they say thanks for visiting… walk away and say “Unless”. Then drop me a comment and let me know how you used it and the reaction you recieved.
