The DNC in Denver.. Bah WordCamp in Birmingham!

WordCamp Birmingham

WordCamp Birmingham

Thats right folks, for the first time in the South. WordCamp is coming to Birmingham, Alabama!

Taken from BarCamp Wiki!

WordCamp Birmingham is an informal gathering of WordPress users where we teach, learn, eat, drink and generally have fun with one another. This would be the first WordCamp in the Southeastern United States; it’s being held in conjunction with the first ever South by Deep South (SxDS) conference and will be occurring at the same time as the 10th annual Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival, the Taste of 4th Avenue Jazz Festival and the opening of a one of a kind exhibit of the work of Leonardo da Vinci in late September.

Leave your stereotype at the gate, and join us in the Heart of Dixie. I know when I moved here 10 years ago, I was amazed they had electricity and running water. Now I’ve fallen in love with the place. The beauty of the state and the amazing culture of people will leave you impressed. There will be something for everyone, and you will find pure southern hospitality.

While you are here we are also having the inaugural South by Deep South (SxDS) an unconfrence of like minds and hearts. Read “It’s a date!” for full the full announcement.

I will see you there!
